Content Warning
Squidge and Lulu talk about some of the slightly darker elements of the Final Fantasy VII Remake, and they cover that ending, so some of the things they cover might not be too suitable for younger ears.
I’ve also been told that there are plenty of swears, but that they’ve all been bleeped.
Please listen responsibly
Show Notes
When I was putting these show notes together, I texted Squidge to see whether there was anything specific he wanted adding. He told me that Ik had this to say:
Ik:fewer elephants
… I mean, you can’t really argue with that.
THIS EPISODE CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THE FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE
PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION IF YOU HAVEN’T PLAYED IT YET
Just like with both part one and part two of this discussion, this episode is chocked full of spoilers for the Final Fantasy VII Remake. I
Jay
was only involved in the recording of very end of this part of the episode, so I have no idea what was discussed. So I’m going to hand over creation of these show notes to Squidge and Lulu.
But before I do, make sure that you’ve
- completed the Final Fantasy VII Remake
- listened to part one of this series
here’s a handy-dandy link to it
- listened ot part two of this series
and here’s a link to that
Byeeeeeee.
Squidge & Lulu Take Over
Just a few things from me:
- We talk about the ending
- We also talk about some of our conspiracy theories relating to certain parts of the game
- MASSIVE SPOILERS
seriously, though
-
Squidge
Jay Comes Back
Before closing out the episode, Squidge let me back into the conversation
I had literally left my recording room and was waiting on Squidge to text me
at the 1 hour, 8 minute and 20 second mark
check the "chapters" feature in your podcatcher
Which means that I can officially type stuff up about the part of the episode that I was involved with.
The unedited version of this episode - and the previous two parts - was around 3 and half episodes, which I think is both a testament to how excited Lulu and Squidge were to talk about the Final Fantasy VII Remake. It’s also a testament to Squidge’s editing skills. The fact that he could take a 210 minute long recording and produce three episodes at around an hour long, without them becoming a chore to listen to
I’m assuming that they’re not a chore to listen to; I haven’t heard them yet. But Squidge has been doing this for a long time now
really is a testament to his skills as both a host and an editor.
Both Lulu and Squidge agree that I need to play this game. It’ll happen folks, I just need to get a PS4 first
the most up-to-date "under the TV" console that I have is a PS2. So it might be time for an upgrade
but I certainly will play it, and afterwards I’ll listen to these episodes. We might even circle back round again, and do another reflections episode when I do.
