If you wish to support the Waffling Taylors, and the other shows in the network, you can over at Ko-fi.com/jayandjaymedia. However, supporting us is completely voluntary and not required at all.

Another way to support us is to shout out about us on social media or give us a rating on your podcatcher service of choice. The more people who listen to the show, the more shows we can do.

Just Before Everything Kicks-off

At one point I fail to remember the name of the Mega Drive game, and Squidge calls it Ground Dog. It’s actually called “Greendog: The Beached Surfer Dude!”

And later in the episode (at around 48 minutes) Squidge tells us about a version of Super Fantasy Zone which came out on the NES. I told Squidge that it couldn’t have happened, but it did in fact happen. Squidge was referring to Fantasy Zone.

Show Notes

In the previous episode, I gave Squidge a challenge:

Imagine that you have an unlimited budget (to deal with licensing issues), go through the games on the Mega Drive Mini and replace the ones that you’ll never play with ones from your dream line up

Jay's Avatar - Jay

The resulting discussion ended up being too long to fit into a single episode, so we split it into two. This episode is the second part of that conversation. But before all of that, I want to let you know about a page that I’ve built: Mini Console Dream Line Ups.

This is an evolving page. We’ll update it each time we do a pod about dream line ups for mini consoles. So make sure to check back there often, and let us know what you think about our choices.

Before we begin the episode proper, it’ll be worth having a refresher on our dream line ups from last time. We only got half way through describing our dream line up for the Mega Drive Mini, so we thought we’d list them all again for you:

Squidge’s Honourable Mentions

Cast your mind back to part one

or scroll up a bit

and you’ll remember that Squidge removed one game: Eternal Champions. Well, he decided to replace it with Wolfchild.

He also wanted to mention Sonic & Knuckles. If I’m honest, I always preferred this game to Sonic 3 - even with the totally-not-written-by-Michael-Jackson music.
