Show Notes
In the third part of our conversation with Chief, Squidgey takes the chance to convince Chief to try out a Sega Saturn. The rules are simple:
- Squidgey can only mention 5 games
- Of those 5 games, he must have played them
- He can have one “honourable” mention
We end up having a short talk about point and click adventure games, then the inclusion of CD audio tracks on some CD based games of the late 90s. Usually, the first track was the game data and the remaining tracks were the soundtrack for the game in question - but in a format that you could play on a CD player.
Saturn and Dreamcast games had extra content for players who inserted the games into their computers
We then talk through out gamer confessions, some of which will shock you. Gamer confessions are something that I brought up with Red Mage and White Mage during their second episode
you’ll find a link to that episode in the
Mine are related to the Legend of Zelda series and the first Super Mario Bros. game, while Squidgey’s are about Resident Evil and the fact that he owns both of the Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball games
check the ‘external links of interest’ section for a link to the advert that we showed Chief
Then Chief drops a nuclear confession on us - considering that he’s a huge fan of strategy games.
Spoiler Break Music
We used an extra piece of music in this episode of the podcast (during the spoiler break). It’s an amazing, chilled out electronic track called “Spectrum (Subdiffusion Mix)” by Foniqz. The full version of the song is available at BandCamp
there’s a link in the ‘Music’ section
Content Warning
There are a few bad words in this episode, and they all appear towards the end of the episode. The worst of which will be an f-bomb and the use of “bollocks” towards the end of the episode.
